How to connect your Zadarma number with Fonio
1. Outgoing Call Configuration
Go to the Fonio platform at
Phone Numbers → Add Number → Create SIP Number.
Enter the following data:
Number / Name – your virtual number from the personal account
Termination URL –
pbx.zadarma.comUsername – your internal PBX number from the personal account
Password – generated password for the internal PBX number (also available at my.zadarma.com/mypbx)
Then click Create SIP Number.
Next:
Open the desired assistant.
Click Assign Number.
Select your Zadarma number from the available numbers.
From now on, you can make outgoing calls using this number.
2. Incoming Call Settings in Zadarma
To receive incoming calls on Fonio, set up a forwarding in Zadarma:
Log in to Zadarma and go to
My PBX → Internal Numbers. For the internal number → select Call Forwarding and Voicemail → Configure.
Set the forwarding condition, e.g., to Always.
In the Forward to field, choose the option
External Server (SIP URI).Enter the target as:
+4311111@vojhwtf1hn6.eu.sip.livekit.cloud(Replace
+4311111with your own virtual Zadarma number in international format).Save.
Important: Configure your Zadarma system to reject (not redirect) forwarded calls when they are not answered. If unanswered calls are redirected back to Fonio instead of being rejected, the AI assistant will not recognize that the forwarding failed. This causes the system to create a new call instead of allowing the assistant to continue the original conversation, resulting in callers experiencing multiple disconnected calls in succession.
This enables incoming and outgoing calls via Fonio with your Zadarma number.
