How to connect your Starface system with Fonio

Create a line

  1. Create a new line in Starface.

  2. Enter the following for Host and Fromdomain:

vojhwtf1hn6.eu.sip.livekit.cloud

  1. Set Transport to tcp.

Note: The line will show as “not registered” – this is correct and not an error.

Add phone number

  1. Add a phone number that is not yet in use.

  2. Enable CLIP No Screening.

  3. Be sure to note the line prefix.

Create number in Fonio

  1. Create the same phone number in Fonio under Phone numbers → Add number → Create SIP number.

  2. Use exactly the same number as in Starface.

Important: Forwarding from this assistant must now be done via SIP. Normal forwarding via PSTN would otherwise cause a loop.

Assign user

Assign the SIP phone number to a user in Starface. Without this assignment, the system cannot operate with the number.

Activate timed forwarding

  1. Set up the phone number in the Timed Forwarding function.

  2. Note: Instead of **2*0049..., the line + number must be entered.

Important Limitation: Fonio immediately picks up all incoming calls and cannot implement conditional “no answer” forwarding logic itself. Therefore any conditional forwarding scenarios (e.g., “try mobile phone first, then forward to Fonio if no answer”) must be configured in Starface using features like timed forwarding, not within Fonio.
