One Partner Account, Two Modes: Refer or Resell

As a fonio partner, you have one partner account with two modes. For each customer, you choose the approach that fits best — and you can mix and match freely.


Mode 1: Refer a Customer

You recommend fonio to a customer. fonio handles billing, onboarding, and support. You earn a recurring commission (15–35% depending on your Partner Level) on the customer's subscription fees — for life.

How it works:

  1. Share your affiliate link or partner code with the customer, which you find in your Referral Dashboard

  2. The customer signs up and subscribes to fonio directly

  3. The customer is attributed to you in your Referral Dashboard

  4. You earn commission — for life, as long as the customer stays active

Optional: You can sell your own services (consulting, implementation, prompt engineering, maintenance) separately on your own invoice. fonio only handles the software subscription — you keep 100% of your service fees.

Key details:

  • Commission calculated on net recurring subscription fees (excl. taxes, SMS/telecom pass-through costs)

  • Minimum payout threshold: EUR 100 (amounts carry forward until met). Request payouts anytime via partner@fonio.ai

  • Introduction-only referrals (no active deal support): 15% for 12 months regardless of level

  • When you level up, the higher rate applies to all your customers — not just new ones


Mode 2: Resell to a Customer

You buy fonio at a discount (20–35% depending on your Partner Level) and resell it to your customer at your own price. You handle billing.

How it works:

  1. In your Reseller Dashboard, enter the customer details to create their account

  2. fonio provides the account at your discounted rate and invoices you monthly (consolidated for all your resell customers)

  3. You invoice the customer directly at whatever price you set

  4. You keep the margin between your discounted price and your resale price

Your responsibilities:

  • You handle first-level support (escalate to fonio for technical issues — fonio handles L2 & L3), but if a customer fist contacts fonio, we will of course help the customer!

  • Each customer must have their own separate fonio account (no pooling/splitting licenses)

Key details:

  • Discount applies to net recurring subscription fees (excl. taxes and SMS/telecom pass-through costs, billed at cost)

  • Lifetime discount — applies to every active customer for as long as they subscribe

  • Tier progression based on TTM (trailing twelve month) revenue; upgrades apply from the next billing cycle

  • You choose whether fonio can contact your end customer or not

Important Rules

  • Partner codes may only be shared privately (in meetings, emails, conversations) — not publicly on websites, social media, or directories

  • Affiliate links may be used publicly

  • Each customer can only be attributed to one partner

  • You decide per customer — refer some, resell to others — all from the same account
